Lebanese Leader disarms Palestinian camps
(MENAFN) Lebanon's official media organization stated that the Lebanese Leader Joseph Aoun stated on Monday that 3 Palestinian camps in Beirut will start surrendering their arms in the middle of June.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam as well as Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas decided previously this week to put an end to the existing running of arms that Palestinian factions have that are not under the control of the Lebanese government, as well as inside Palestinian refugee camps.
Aoun stated that "joint committees have been formed to implement the agreement, and the handover of weapons will begin in mid-June in three camps in Beirut", and additionally he said that 3 Palestinian military camps in the North, Mount Lebanon, and the South had already disarmed.
