Rocket Strike in Baghdad Kills Four People, Injures Two

(MENAFN) At least four people were killed and two others injured when a rocket struck a house in Baghdad’s Jadriya neighborhood, according to security sources.

The source noted that the death toll could rise and added that early reports suggest the residence was hosting members of Iraqi armed factions.

The attack occurs amid heightened regional tensions following joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran that began on February 28, which have reportedly killed over 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military forces, causing casualties and infrastructure damage while also disrupting global markets and aviation, according to reports.
