(MENAFN) Approximately 300 Afghan nationals have been freed from detention in Pakistan and have returned to Afghanistan over the past week, according to reports.

The returnees entered Afghanistan through the Spin Boldak border crossing in Kandahar province. Their periods of detention reportedly varied, with some held for just a day and others for nearly two months.

Upon arrival, the individuals were registered and received initial humanitarian assistance at a transit center in Spin Boldak. Following this, they were supported in traveling back to their respective home provinces, according to the reports.
