Israeli Occupiers Put Home on Fire, Cut Olive Trees in Nablus Area

(MENAFN) Israeli settlers reportedly set fire to a Palestinian residence and two vehicles late Tuesday in the village of Beit Iba, located in the Nablus area of the occupied West Bank. In a separate incident in a nearby location, more than 150 olive trees were also cut down, according to local accounts.

Residents said the group came from an outpost established on land belonging to Beit Amrin village before moving toward the outskirts of the community. The same group then allegedly torched a house and two vehicles while locals attempted to intervene.

In another attack in the same governorate, settlers were reported to have cut down over 150 olive trees in agricultural areas near Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, specifically in the Khan and Wadi Ali regions southeast of the village.

These incidents took place amid what local sources described as a broader increase in settler-related violence across the Nablus area in recent days.

Over the past three days alone, around 34 dunams (about 8.4 acres) of farmland were reportedly bulldozed in the al-Sahl area, with more than 500 fruit-bearing olive and almond trees uprooted.

Since October 2023, violence involving Israeli settlers and Israeli forces has intensified significantly. Reports indicate that more than 1,148 Palestinians have been killed, around 11,750 injured, and nearly 22,000 detained during this period.
